Last year, Dr. Roxanne Panchasi in collaboration with UNIT/PITT presented La Commune 2021, a 10-week virtual free school on the Paris Commune of 1871. The program, which is still available online, features open access readings, an interactive timeline of key historical events, and weekly episodes of radio 1871, an original podcast where Roxanne interviews other scholars and artists on aspects of the Paris Commune and its legacy.
Over the next 10 weeks, UNIT/PITT will be revisiting the material from each week of La Commune 2021 Free School on our social media channels, including episodes of radio 1871, and responses from the program’s artists-in-residence.
