Our series of artist commissions riffing on the wrong side of history, Ill Repute, is going to wrap up in the next month with a frenzy of activity.
First, look for the launch of We Give A Shit Because We Care on Friday, December 2nd. This is another project drawing on the social networks that keep artist-run culture functioning, and playing off episodes in the Pitt’s history where we showed art that seemed designed to shock, or just shocked someone regardless. But it’s not shocking, it’s NATURAL. Everyone does it.
There’s also a book coming out to accompany Yin Yang Temple. Watch for that announcement. We’re also have launches coming up for projects by X̱elsílem Dustin Rivers and Christie Lee Charles in December, with details due to be announced any minute now.
