Research + Presentation Center is an experimental reading room that locates and interprets personal libraries and places them in the public realm. With an emphasis on research and its relation to practice, contributors will be showcasing a range of chosen ephemera including books, film, and sound. Contributors include local artists, writers, a musician, and a curator, all of whom approach research in a dynamic way. In the hopes of continuing the conceptual loop from research to creation to presentation, the space will include tools and materials that incubate the research process.
This March, as a prefix to Research + Presentation Center, there will also be a series of musical performances/presentations under the title No Show.
Curated by Amanda Jehring and Steffanie Ling.
With special help from Keith Higgins and Ellis Sam.
Featuring the libraries of Jerry Zaslove, Jesse Birch, Michael Turner, Lenox and Burrard, and Stefana Fratila.
Supports by Nathan Welland, and Kellen Deighton.
