PJS CollectivePJS Collective is John Walkus-Greene, Skylar Stock, and Paul Lang. This project is curated by Cease Wyss.

Opening Friday, January 25, at 8pm. Part of the series What Future.

Before I’m Done is an interactive conversation between three men. Through carving and drawing, photography, and video, PJS documents and creates a living art practice in an urban landscape — a type of practice, and living, normally unseen.

John Walkus-Greene is a local artist who has been living and in the DTES for several years. John’s cultural background is Kwakwakwaxw’a, and is a traditional carver. John is trying to remain rooted in his culture through his art. He creates carvings and 2D artworks.

Skylar Stock is an artist and local business owner who has been friends with John for several years. His friendship with John began through dialogues in his store in the DTES. They have a unique friendship, and one that has grown into a great trust and mutual respect for one another. Skylar will be documenting John’s work, through photography.

Paul Lang is a local artist who has been working in and with artists groups for 25 years. He has been the silent observer of this unique friendship for many years. Paul will be compiling a series of video clips that documents John’s process and will be contributing to this collaboration through as a “witness” to John and Skylar’s photo conversation.
