$35.00

In 1975, a group of art students founded the Helen Pitt Gallery. 46 years later, we’re still around, we’re still artist-run, and we’ve collected a lot of cool stuff. This limited edition tote contains miscellaneous publications and print ephemera from our archive.

Description

Includes: a limited edition tote printed by Study In Complacency, a UNIT/PITT button, and an array of publications and print ephemera from the UNIT/PITT archive. Scroll through the images for an example of what you may find in your Mystery Tote! Every tote is different, but each will contain: a UNIT/PITT publication, a non-UNIT/PITT publication from our library (artist books, catalogues, magazines, etc), several brochures, handbills and posters from past exhibitions, and one or more stickers. The monetary value of the Mystery Totes range from $40-$250, so $35 is a steal!

This is a particularly great gift idea for the quirky art lover, the collage artist, and the ARC-enthusiast.

You may ask, “Why are they selling stuff from their archive?” UNIT/PITT needs to downsize its collection to save costs, and we desperately need to fundraise for 2022. Plus, the books and print ephemera in the Mystery Totes were always intended to be enjoyed and shared with others, not tucked away in boxes. Your purchase of a Mystery Tote gives its contents a new life, and helps UNIT/PITT plan for the future. (We’ve kept 2-3 copies of rare publications and handouts for research purposes, so don’t worry!)
