Musik Klub 2: Selectors Special Edition

November 6, 2015

7pm – 10pm, Friday November 6

Musik Klub is happy to present Selectors Special Edition. Join us in screening an hour-long program of live (or sometimes badly lip-synced) performances and rare promo videos from a variety of international television music programs broadcast between 1965 & 1995. Keeping with the tone of the night, Brady Cranfield will be playing records before, between and after video sets. Come out, drink refreshing beverages, hang with friends and listen to (and watch) some great punk / noise / dub / synth music. Ends early so you can keep the night going; its like happy hour for music & video fan-fiends!

MUSIK KLUB is a screening series organized and hosted by Jamie Ward and is intended to highlight ongoing research into exciting or challenging music available on YouTube. Videos are chosen for both their innovative or sublime video content as well as their unique musical quality, with an emphasis on material produced Pre-Millennium, across many genres and each event is themed. Streamed directly from YouTube, EQ’d and projected, and accompanied by guest musical selectors, the goals of MUSIK KLUB are to continue in the tradition of classic variety hours such as Beat Club, Old Grey Whistle Test, Top Pop & Musikladen, but with a selective eye / ear.

Brady Cranfield is an artist and musician based in Vancouver. He is co-owner of Selectors’ Records, which opened in 2015, and is a co-founder of The Music Appreciation Society
