Join us for the long-awaited launch of I spy… a disposable camera mail art project 2020-2022, and ReIssue Year 2 Anthology, published by UNIT/PITT and ReIssue Magazine.
I spy… a disposable camera mail art project 2020-2022 is a beautiful full-colour publication featuring photographic contributions by all 46 artists who participated in the I spy… project over its 3-year span. The project was a meeting of poetry with no frills photography held across three summers; wherein UNIT/PITT mailed a unique written prompt and a disposable camera to participating artists. The resulting catalogue exhibits 46 photo series in an asynchronous fashion, with an introduction by 2022 Curator Rachel Lau, and closing essay by Brit Bachmann who initiated and oversaw the project. ReIssue Year 2 Anthology surveys reissue.pub’s second year of online published works; including contributions by EA Douglas, Alex Jensen, Steff Hui Ci Ling, Fellow Peter, Julia Prudhomme, Dion Smith-Dokkie, Sue-Shane Tsomondo, Reid Urchison, Yasmine Whaley-Kalaora, and Casey Wei. ReIssue is an interdisciplinary art writing platform focused on shaping and sustaining a contemporary west coast discourse rooted in critical engagement with experimental art practices.
