Stack of Moves, a dance project organized by Jen Weih, will take place tonight (Friday, October 25th) at Western Front as part of Wrong Wave: Revenge of the New Puritan.
The event begins at 8.30pm with a highly recommended introduction by Justine Chambers, a Vancouver-based contemporary dance artist. Her introduction serves as a warm up — “just as contemporary dancers prepare their bodies for performance, my warm up is to prepare the body and mind for the performance of the dance party. It is an entry point to sensation, embodiment, and kinetic dialogue between participants.”
Dancing begins at 9.15pm. It is participatory, but you don’t have to dance. Come check it out! Free admission, and everybody is welcome.
