Tonight, come by 236 East Pender at between 11:30 pm and 12:30 for the latest performance in the series Vancouver, Crawling, Weeping, Betting, co-presented by UNIT/PITT and battery opera performance. Cease Wyss will be presenting this week’s Witching Hour Solo, a solo performance in UNIT/PITT’s space that can be observed through the windows, from the street outside. The performance is “A Tea Party with some not so famous Vancouverites: Dominic Charlie, Mary Eihu, Madeline Deighton, and August Jack Khatsalanough”. And yes, tea will be served.
In addition to the tea, we’ll have a handy supply of folding chairs, emergency blankets, and other measures to mitigate the cold, although it looks like it will be cloudy and mild tonight.
UPDATE: Since we start at 11:30pm, you have time to check out openings — selections from from the Michael O’Brian collection at Satellite Gallery, Kotama Bouabane and Henry Tsang at Centre A, Keith Doyle and Evann Siebens at Gallery 295, or the opening of Glenn Lewis at Trench contemporary art gallery — with time to spare before you come by UNIT/PITT tonight.
