Annual General Meeting
Wow! 2024 was a huge year for UNIT/PITT. We found a new home, a new director, some departures, and some new faces. We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing people we’ve had the opportunity to work with this year: Al Razutis’ Gravity wins, Entropy Rules, curated by Felix Rapp alongside an original publication; three iterations of our Sound of the Sun project; Alyson Bucharest, Sauha Lee, and Kiyoshi Whitley’s Blue Greens Workers as our first exhibition in our new home; hosting our first artists, organizers, horticulturalists-in-residence art ecosystem collective; stunning garden film screenings by the inimitable experimental film collective XINEMA; just to mention a few. And we are buzzing with energy and excitement for what’s to come as we approach our 50th anniversary!
Come join the Board of Directors, Staff, Volunteers, Society Members and General Public in our Garden on August 26 at 6:30pm for our Annual General Meeting, where we’ll present these highlights alongside our Financial Statements and reports from 2024.

Interested in getting involved with UNIT/PITT? We are searching for new Board Members!
UNIT/PITT is seeking new board members in a time of exciting change as we embark on our 50th year (!!). If you are interested in supporting emergent and experimental artist practices within Vancouver’s unique artist-run community, please fill out an application by August 16th at midnight.
Qualities we are searching for:
- Contributes new perspectives to our governance operations
- Interested in community
- Encourages decolonizing practices within governance, programming, and operations
- Knowledge or willingness to learn budgeting and financial management within a charitable nonprofit context
- Experience or interest in learning grant writing
- Openness to process, thoughtful reflection, and collaboration
- Finance, fundraising, and HR experience an asset
